CLASH

TV shows

Wake up quickly, jump into the ring and knock out the enemy with words! This was one of the first slogans of the talk show Clash back in 2001 describes the idea of the show most accurately. Two teams consisting of two participants argue against each other on a given topic. The dispute often turns into a fierce drama, an intelligent debate or pure fun. All this is garnished with the humor of Ivan and Andrey, my culture Yanko, Nedyalko Tsanev, The stars tell me so and other cult columns.

Clash started way back in 2000 on cable TV DEN, which no longer exists. In 2001, the show moved to bTV - the biggest hit transfer in the television market. Eight legendary years followed, a time during which countless cult ideas, phrases, rubrics, characters, and many more were born.

Clash is an original author format created by Ivan and Andrey – few other shows can boast of something similar. The show introduced a new way of arguing on television - debating complex topics in simple terms. To speak in a language accessible to the viewers and to give free rein to emotions. No less important was the humorous commentary with a non-standard look at problems that were somehow not accepted to become the subject of comedy.

After 2009, Clash briefly aired on Nova TV, but failed to establish itself. Looking back years later, we can admit that the format was no longer the same. By then all the channels had adopted our way of working, and everywhere someone was arguing - from the weekday morning blocks to the evening newscasts. By this time, Clash already needed a break, and we needed something different.

After a 4-year break, the show returned on TV7 in its classic form, yet improved and broadcast twice a week - Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 9 in the morning. Unfortunately, everyone knows what the fate of this channel was. At least we have good memories.

Lots of time flew in the Bulgarian TV and we have also come a long way, but we feel that Clash can again be actual and innovative as in its best years. So far, the show has returned as part of DNK's Do it for Bulgaria campaign with four issues.

Will we be back on the air? Who knows… More than 16 years after its beginning, we still believe that nothing is impossible!
