BULGARIA WANTS YOU is a new initiative for our country, and for our geographic latitudes in general, related to the emigration problem. The project was created by Ivan Hristov and Andrey Arnaudov as a natural continuation of their realized projects in the non-governmental sector and their organization for public benefit DNK, whose activity aims to direct the attention of society both to the low birth rate in Bulgaria, conducting an annual campaign, and to emigration as a leading part of the demographic problem. 

BULGARIA WANTS YOU aims to show the immense opportunities the country provides today for career and life. The platform presents its users not only to job opportunities, but gives information about the standard, conditions, environment, and lifestyle in the individual regions of the country. The diverse video content about the companies in Bulgaria, about the settlements and about the good example of successful entrepreneurs developing their business in the country, distinguishes the site from any other project aimed at the Bulgarian community, regardless of living in the country or offshore.

The startup project, in which many Bulgarian and international companies believed, is a mix between a job board and media.

The main priorities of BULGARIA WANTS YOU:

To motivate the Bulgarians who are here to stay and develop their potential in Bulgaria.

To attract Bulgarians from abroad back to the local labour market.

The initiative has a national coverage, i.e., is not focused only on the advantages of the capital Sofia but strives to present the attractive conditions and living environment in other cities and towns in Bulgaria as well, thus directing people to look for career opportunities there as well. Companies included are from all sectors and branches in all regions of the country.

The platform is opened to attract foreigners to the labour market in our country - it is bilingual and everyone who thinks Bulgaria provides better living conditions are welcome.

BULGARIA WANTS YOU shows the change in Bulgaria, through the faces of the people who are changing it and the stories of the companies that contribute to better living conditions in the different regions of the country.

Data from preliminary studies show that a good job is not always a prime reason to live in a certain region and to move practically your whole life.

Therefore, as a tool with additional added value and to support job applicants, a Life Cost Calculator has been integrated into the site. By answering a few short questions, the calculator determines how much the consumer's basic expenses will be in each regional city in Bulgaria, compared to the main indicators of the standard of living.

Job positions on the BULGARIA WANTS YOU platform are valid for the territory of the country, which stimulates the attraction and/or retention of labour force in the local labour market.

The financial model is based on a partnership with businesses, as well as the support of many municipalities, by offering annual subscriptions for marketing packages and employer branding services.

The project was developed on the base of the non-profit association DNK. The platform is a private initiative and does not benefit from state, European funding, or other public funds.
