On 29th May 2018 a press conference was held on the One Love Tour 2018 in the Vitosha Hall of Marinella Hotel. At the conference table were the producers from Medium Station - Andrey Arnaudov and Ivan Hristov, their Macedonian partners from Inovativa Group - Sanya Nikolic-Marinkovich and Marko Marinkovich - Slatkaristika, as well as some of the performers in One Love Tour 2018 - Vasil Naydenov, Vladimir Ampov - Grafa, Next Time and Dimitar Gospodinov - participant from The Farm. Journalists from leading media in Bulgaria and Macedonia were present. The press conference started with the official promo clip, in which the guests saw footage from the 2017 tour and what's to come this year. Andrey Arnaudov shared that with joint efforts, exactly one year ago, his dream of a joint project between Bulgaria and Macedonia came true. The tour in the name of the love of art and of music has the power to unite and break down borders, even the state ones.
One Love Tour 2017 included two countries, lasted 5 months in 8 cities and thousands of fans gathered to prove that there is nothing more touching and more impactful than Her Majesty – the music.
Through the music of two neighboring countries with very similar languages, they proved to everyone that love unites! Bulgaria and Macedonia sang together for the first time in one rhythm and in one language, the language of love. The huge success of the One Love Tour 2017 has made it a necessity for the producers to continue to reach as larger audience of all ages as possible. It was unanimously decided to expand the scale of the tour and this year the One Love Tour will be a festival. It will be completely free and open access. A twelve-hour rich program including different styles of music, folklore, children's theater and vocal groups, popular performers from both countries, stand-up comedians and culinary presentations. Guided by the idea of reviving and preserving traditions, during the festival, in the cities of Bulgaria, a Street of Crafts will be built. On it, visitors will be able to get acquainted with our ancient and colorful crafts, thus preserving a priceless legacy. The biggest attraction during the One Love Tour 2018 is that for the first time since the launch of The Farm, people outside the TV format will be given the opportunity to see the arena of the games.
A real arena will be built and they will not only see it, but also be able to compete with some of the participants from the Farm, with public figures, with TV presenters and with each other. The Tour producers thanked bTV for accepting their idea and its joined implementation. For the second year in a row, the general sponsor of the One Love Tour is Minstroy Holding, joined by Komersialna banka Macedonia. The official insuring company of the festival is Euroins, and the companies that supported the project are Hotel Marinella and Victoria Group Hotels & Resorts, Mazda Bulgaria, Dilmano Dilbero cannery, Bulgarian telecommunication company Vivacom, Orka Holding - Macedonia, the world's leading provider of infrastructure for information and communication technologies (ICT) and smart devices Huawei, Ajabadem Clinic, Yulen Ltd., Bulgarian Foundation memory. The visits of One Love Tour in the cities are realized with the cooperation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Municipality of Bansko, Municipality of Sofia, Municipality of Varna, Municipality of Ruse, Municipality of Stara Zagora, Municipality of Skopje, Municipality of Strumica, Municipality of Kavadartsi. The One Love Tour festival starts on 16th June in Skopje, on 30th June it is in Sofia, on 21st July in Bansko, 28th July in Varna, 11th August - Strumica, 7th September - Kavadarci, 8th September - Ruse and the final show is on 5th October in Stara Zagora on the town’s holiday day.
The start of the festival, on 16th June in Skopje coincides with the Bulgarian EU Presidency and with the partnership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the auspices of the Bulgarian Embassy in Republic of Macedonia. It will be held in the center of the city of Skopje and will be the largest Bulgarian-Macedonian event with free entry. The opening will be attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia Zoran Zaev and the Foreign Minister of Bulgaria - Ekaterina Zaharieva, representatives of the Municipality of Skopje, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia and with the full support of the Bulgarian Prime Minister - Boyko Borisov. In Skopje, visitors to the festival will see and hear the performances of Zlatno Slaveyche, Luboyna, Foltin, Sashko Kotsev, ensemble Bulgare, Grafa, Desi Dobreva, Next Time and Slatkaristika. The program in Sofia, on the 30th of June in the South Park, starts with the vocal group Bon-Bon, continues with Telephone 112, following by an evening concert: Next Time, Slatkaristika, Upsurt and Vasil Naydenov. The program will be different for each city. The official host of the festival will be Niki Stanoev, and the performers Oratnitsa, Pavel and Venci Venc, Krisko, Tita, Upsurt, Vlatko Stefanovski, Stefan Valdobrev and the group The Usual Suspects will participate in particular towns.
