"These are not just two of the most successful Bulgarians in recent years, but two men who have something to tell us. Dimitar Marinov, apart from being the first Bulgarian actor to win an Oscar, is an extremely cosmopolitan person, for whom there are no borders, countries, or time zones. He travels all over the world and I am personally grateful to him for moving his schedule with months ahead to attend our event in London. As for Berbatov - his name alone says enough. An athlete who respects his achievements and awards and, at the same time, never lost Bulgaria from his heart. I'm sure his return to the Island will be very emotional, both for the audience and for himself. Personally, I can't wait to hear his words and the reaction of our compatriots in the hall," Andrey Arnaudov admits.

"Many people ask me: "Why after achieving success abroad, after you could have lived in England or wherever you want did you choose to return to Bulgaria?", and I wonder why they ask me that at all. Because the question of whether to return has not been in my head at all. I have quite consciously chosen to live here with my family. Even while I was playing for Manchester United, I knew that after the end of my career as a football player I would return to Bulgaria, that I would live in Bulgaria and do everything in my power for the better future of my country.

I believe that we all have something to give in this direction. I believe that Bulgaria is in one’s heart wherever you are, but the heart feels best when you are in Bulgaria. And we just have to make maximum efforts – according to our abilities, to change the small world around us, to change for the better the environment we live in.

April marks the 15th anniversary since the establishment of the Dimitar Berbatov’ Foundation, through which we pay special attention to and encourage the talented children of Bulgaria. And every day we discover new and new examples of why it is worth being in Bulgaria and working for Bulgaria. And if we do it with respect for the success achieved with talent and with lots of efforts, we will certainly change the environment and the success will be shared.

I believe in the better development of our country, and that is why I gladly accepted the invitation of Bulgaria Wants You to be part of the event in London on 2nd April – Dimitar Berbatov told the career platform.

Career and life - why in Bulgaria? will also be supported by businesses, whose representatives will talk about career opportunities in Bulgaria and about job vacancies in their companies. The most responsible employers in the country, whose working conditions and economic incentives are at a European level will participate. A peculiar host of the forum will be His Royal Highness Kyril, Prince of Preslav and Duke in Saxony.
